Did you know? All buildings in Queensland with a floor area of 300m2 require Evacuation Signs/Diagrams.

Did you know? Every building in Queensland (except for Class 1a (Domestic Residences and Class 10 (Sheds, Carports, Garages and Bushfire shelters) require a Fire and Evacuation Plan.

FIRE SAFETY ADVISER SERVICES

Our Fire Safety Adviser services assist the building occupier by:

Annual Audit Report
Liaising with occupiers to ensure the development of the Fire and Evacuation Plan.
Liaising with occupiers to ensure the development of the Evacuation Sign and Diagram.
Reviewing the Fire and Evacuation Plan and Evacuation Sign and Diagram annually.
Monitoring the building’s prescribed fire safety installation maintenance schedule and maintenance records and advise the occupier of discrepancies.
Liaising with QFES personnel during building inspections and if possible, being available at the time of inspection with access to all relevant maintenance records and documentation.
Arranging or providing general evacuation instruction as well as first response evacuation instruction and evacuation coordination instruction.
Providing advice to the occupier of any possible breaches of the regulations.

FIRE SAFETY/EMERGENCY MANAGMENT TRAINING

Code One Compliance’s training policy is to provide a session of one hour duration, which allows for our Trainer to conduct the scheduled training session and where time permits, address on-site issues or provide additional training.

We believe that this system value adds to the ongoing relationship and provides the best possible training package to the site.

Our training program will be tailored to suit the site and take into consideration the size and use of the site, the occupancy levels, sensitivity of the site and any specific requests by building owners/managers. All our trainers hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

ANNUAL EVACUATION EXERCISES

The safety of residents, staff and others, during an emergency, must take priority. To ensure residents, staff and others know how to evacuate, in the safest and most efficient manner, practising scheduled evacuation exercises will help. This practice can help reduce stress and confusion in an actual emergency.
